Tuesday 18th March 2008 marks a date where history is made. The first ever A380 commercial flight into Europe landed at Heathrow at 15:05. The A380, or “super jumbo” stands at over 24 metres high — about the same as your average 8 storey building. It’s also the first ever double-decker plane and can seat more than 470 people in 12 exclusive Singapore Airlines Suites on the main deck, 60 Business Class seats on the upper deck and 399 economy seats on both decks.

  4. EK is an accident waiting to happen. It is the epitome of management taking piloting decisions. The number of over-stressed pilots complaining about the ridiculous demands imposed on them is truly worrying.

  5. BUt Emirates has a full Bar, Lounge and Showers. Also I know for a fact that the Emirates Suite is just as good as the SIA one.

  15. Dear All,

I have some questions about psychology:

    (1) Why do we enjoy to have shower at 42000 feets high? What is the fun and joy behind?

    (2) Why do we want a bar and a restaurant on aeroplanes, like A380?

    (3) Is that because a bar and a restaurant gives us a chance to socialize with others?

    (4) How does nice drinks and nice food make our journey more enjoyment?

THANK YOU IN ADVANCE for your creative ideas and brainstorm!!! :)

  18. No it’s not. It’s the same price as any other Aircraft.
It’s soo expensive on the first flight, or on the aircrafts first route.
It’s the same as any other plane now

  25. Usually the ‘Water Canon Salute’ is a way to wellcome a new travel company, a new route or something special like this one.
It is not available on all airports.
